Need a cash injection? Ask yourself these 5 questions to ask to manifest money in your business!
It took me a year and a half, tens of thousands of dollars, and an unwavering commitment to myself and the inner work to get here. But I can confidently say that I trust money to show up for me and in my business.
Part of this comes from a stronger relationship with myself and Spirit. Another part comes from letting go of so many limiting beliefs around money, love, safety, and security. And the final piece I credit to having been in business long enough to develop the right relationships and simply having more experience.
My clients and I chat a lot about “consistent” income. I always ask them to define what consistent really means to them. Because it can take shape in many way.
Creating consistent income is more about trusting yourself and taking consistent action to generate leads than having the perfect strategy or system.
But it hasn’t always been this way. Oh no. The past year and a half were pretty grueling – emotionally, financially, energetically, and more. Yet, I created it all so that I could be here.
Even as a business owner here to serve, you’re still, well, a BUSINESS OWNER. Thus, as a business, one of your primary goals is to make money. Otherwise, you’re just running a glorified (and likely expensive) hobby.
It’s the question that I most frequently get as a coach: how do I make money?
How do I make more money, make money easier, make money faster, make consistent money, how do I manifest money in my business?
Then, we dive into it all from mindset to business strategy. What are your revenue streams? How are you marketing? Are you in love with your offers? Do you trust yourself to book clients you’ll love? Are you willing to let yourself be supported? How do you feel about your pricing?
And so and so forth. Those aren’t the questions this article is dedicated to. But also good ones to explore!
As a coach, I’m not here to give you all the answers. But instead, I’m here to support you in becoming the person who can get/create/find the answers yourself. Give a fish vs. teach you how to fish philosophy.
So, when my clients ask me a question, I almost always ask about 10 questions back. So you can learn more about yourself, learn how to understand yourself better, and (ultimately) trust yourself and the answers within.
If you’re spinning your wheels in business from a peaked curiosity to full-blown panic about the ultimate question
HOW DO I MAKE MORE MONEY?
Here are 5 questions to ask to create manifest money in your business.
5 Questions to Ask to Manifest Money in Your Business
One | How much money do I want?
Seriously, how much money do you want to create this year? This quarter? This month? This week? What are you calling in, creating, and allowing into your life?
Just saying “more” isn’t going to be enough here. Because more could be 10 cents more or 10 million dollars more. But at the root of it, what you truly WANT? The more specific you get with your desires, the easier it will be for them to flow into your life.
Two | What will I spend the money on?
Money loves to have a purpose. Dedicating this money to specific purchases will
(a) help it be more real and thus easier to manifest and
(b) keep you from writing a number that’s just so big it’s fueled by scarcity
If you want to create $2,500 this week, what does all that money go to? $500 for taxes, $500 for savings, $75 for date night, etc.
Three | **What am I selling to create this money?**
Or what are you willing to give/do to create this money? I highlight this question because learning to answer this question is what I credit so much of my financial success in business to.
When I first started, I had one offer and lasered in on offering that one thing. No flexibility or willingness to customize, tweak, or do anything BUT this one coaching package. I passed up numerous sales because I was so rigid on only ever selling this one offer that (let’s be honest) wasn’t a great fit for most people.
It wasn’t until I decided to open up my business as the business of Melanie that money started flowing in. I started asking myself, what are all the ways that I can help people?
Most of my packages and offers don’t have a sales page.
I create them based on how I think I can best serve the client and price based on what I want to receive in exchange. If someone says no, it’s ok. Because someone else will come along saying they want to work with me – or that person will come back in their own time to hire me.
Get clear on what fun and exciting things you’d like to do in exchange for money. What skills are you willing to offer to help people? What people are always coming to you saying I wish that you could do this thing for me? Is there a way you can create a package and offer it?
This doesn’t have to be super complicated. You don’t have to put a ton of work into automating your systems, writing up perfect sales pages, etc. Often times, we use those as a form of perfectionism to prevent ourselves from booking clients because we’re afraid that we’ll fail them and ourselves.
If you’re always waiting to be perfect, you’ll never profit.
Yes, work through your perfectionism mindset blocks. But also, choose selling over perfectionism every time.
Four | Who do I need to connect with?
Making money is really about connecting with people. Because money is simply material energy. It needs a conduit to flow through. That conduit is people.
Money and opportunity are always attached to the person offering it.
So, who do you need to connect with to expand your energy field into the realm of possibility? Not just leads. Because money can show up for us in a variety of unexpected ways.
Sit down, meditate on this, and ask your higher self who you need to tap on the shoulder. She will lead you exactly where you need to go.
Regardless of whether connecting with those people directly results in sales, you’re putting the energy out there that you’d like to connect with people. Those people might connect you with your next client or simply the act itself shows the Universe that you want it to send more people your way.
Five | How can I stay open and committed?
It’s easy to sell, get a no, then give up and say that the world is against you. It’s harder to sell, get a no, learn, sell, get a maybe, follow up, get a no, learn, sell, follow up, follow up, follow up, get a yes, sell, get a no, sell, and so on and so forth.
The name of the game with selling is commitment – not getting a yes.
You WILL get people who say no. And that’s okay. It doesn’t mean anything about you or about your offer. But you can use that experience to learn and collect feedback. What about the process went well? What do you want to tweak for next time?
The same thing goes for getting a yes. What do you want to tweak vs. repeat? What selling points really attracted that person that you can focus on for next time?
And if you get a maybe, schedule a time to follow up and check back in with them. The right people are relieved because it takes the pressure off of them to figure it all out.
As a salesperson, your job is to support this person through the process.
As a service provider, it’s your first opportunity to show them what it’s like for you to support them – whether you’re a coach, copywriter, designer, photographer, or more.
Every no is a chance for an easy sale down the road, referral, learning opportunity, or more. It DOES NOT mean that you suck or that your offer sucks or that one “no” dooms your business to brokeness for the rest of eternity.
That’s just your ego talking because it’s scared of what will happen if you DO stay committed and succeed. Because honestly, if you give up now, everything will mostly stay the same. And it’s comfortable in this place. It doesn’t want to have to grow and change.
How can you stay open and committed? What support you do need when you get a no to keep going and being your badass self? How can you stay accountable to following up and following through? What roadblocks do you foresee? What can you set up ahead of time to minimize their impact?
